Yu Yureka Note Launched:
YU Televentures joint venture of Cyanogen Inc and Micromax has released yet another device that tries to compete against the onslaught of the Chinese OEM’s offering great handsets at affordable prices. YU has been having a tough time convincing buyers about their devices and YU wishes to turn things their side with The YU Yureka Note. So lets see what the device is all about.
The YU Yureka Note carries forward the design of its smaller sized sibling the YU Yuphoria. It has a matte finish back with a camera ring at the top of the back panel. Its a pretty standard design with the volume rockers and power button on the right hand side. The headphone jack sits at the top and the usb port to the bottom. The main difference from the Yuphoria’s design is the the dual front facing speakers and the addition of a fingerprint sensor in the back.
The YU Yureka Note comes with The octa-core Mediatek MT6753T processor clocked at 1.5GHz coupled with 3GB DDR4 Ram. The phone supports LTE and supports Dual Sims. The phone also sports a 6 Inch 1080p IPS LCD panel upfront with a pixel density of 367ppi protected by corning Gorilla Glass 3. For the camera’s we have a 13MP rear shooter with a f/2.2 aperture and phase detection Auto-Focus coupled with a Dual-LED flash and a 8MP front facing camera. The phone comes with 16Gb internal storage that is expandable via micro SD. The phone also holds a pretty large 4000mAh battery that supports Quick charge 2.0 . The phones comes with Android Lollipop 5.1.1 out of the box
The YU Yureka Note does not stack up that well against what the competition offers. At the price of Rs. 14,999 the YU Yureka Note devices such as the Redmi Note 3 and LeTv 1s offer far more value at a lesser price. It just isnt a compelling device that leads to an impulsive purchase.
