(The Trailer of the game)

What is it:

Pokémon GO is an augmented reality game that lets you capture and train Pokemon in the real world by pointing a smartwatch-like device called Pokémon GO Plus, The game is for Android & IOS Devices the device is a Bluetooth companion and the game is free to play.

How Does It Work:

Basically players travel to different places and each place is a setting for a different event. Like lets say that i walk down my street to the next street, the next street could have different Pokemon than what my street has, special events could happen in points of interest say an iconic building. This offers a sense of depth and reality to the game and can create various unique scenarios that players will have to tackle. As you move around, your Pokemon GO Plus will vibrate to let you know you’re near a Pokémon. Some wild Pokémon will appear only in certain places near where you live or around the world. For example, some Water-type Pokémon may appear only near lakes and oceans. If you’re away from home, be sure to stay alert for Pokémon you wouldn’t normally encounter!. The mobile game will also feature a customizable character trainer with gender options. Pokemon GO players will be able to choose from 52 items including haircuts and clothing. The customization will let players create around 23,328 unique combinations.

The Nuances of Pokemon Go

Poké Balls:

Poké Balls can be acquired at PokéStops located at interesting places such as public art installations, historical markers, museums and monuments.

Gyms & Battles:

Yes, there will be battles. Players will be encouraged to join one of three teams in order to compete over the ownership and prestige of Gyms. They will do this by placing their captured Pokémon in a friendly Gym or by battling with an opponent’s Pokémon in another team’s Gym. Gyms , just like PokéStops are also found at real world locations. Each player can place only one Pokémon at a particular Gym, so you’re encouraged to work with others on the team to build up a strong defense. If a Gym is already claimed by another team, you can challenge that Gym using your own Pokémon. Using the Pokémon you’ve caught, engage in battle with the defending Pokémon at the Gym to claim control. In Pokémon GO, you will gain levels as a Trainer, and at higher levels you will be able to catch more powerful Pokémon to complete your Pokédex.

Well Pokemon Go has added a twist to evolution’s in the game. The current batch of Pokemon is grouped into normal, legendary, and mythic classes. The evolution in Pokémon GO works like this. When you collect shards from wild Pokémon you build evolution stones. Each Pokémon will require unique shards. Lets say “you want to evolve a Caterpie, you gotta catch 10 Caterpie and that will be enough evolution shards to evolve it to the Metapod,” the Redditor said in the vid. So another Pokemon that we learned is that if you want to level up a Tentacool, you need to get 20 Tentacool to gain enough evolution shards to evolve it. And then also to evolve a Magicarp, you need to get 50 of them to evolve it to a Gyrados.”

What Else:

The game is expected to include micro transactions for special items and other in game items. There is also that possibility of an annual subscription plan for the game. Niantic, the developer behind the Pokemon GO game, has raised $5 million from investors. According to the company’s CEO, John Hanke so the game better be good and According to Tsnuekazu Ishihara a spokesperson from Niantic, the game will not be available in all regions at the same time. Instead, the release will happen on different dates around the world Serebii is reporting that the game will be first available in Japan, North America and Europe. After that, it will be released in South America, Asia, Middle East and Africa. Other countries weren’t mentioned in the report, which could mean that Nintendo and Niantic haven’t planned on a release date yet. Also finally The Pokemon GO field tests have started in Japan and here’s a small gameplay leak.
