Asus :

Asus has been lately concentration on specific purpose phones like for battery there are couple of phones like the Asus Zenfone Max, Asus Zenfone 3s Max and more. But the Asus Zenfone Live is for those who want their front facing camera to perform as good as the rear facing camera. Asus in general, has smartphones which can tackle targeted user’s needs.

They recently launched their new Asus ZenFone Live which is the first of their new series Live which concentrates on those users who stream or go live often. Now saying that most of the apps like Instagram, facebook & YouTube has the option to go live right from your smartphone, this might make sense.

Asus Zenfone Live specs :

The Asus Zenfone live is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and comes with 2GB RAM. It has 16GB ROM and can be expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.

The display is 5 inches and this phone weighs just 120 grams! Its very light and very comfortable to use as well. The display is visible very clearly in full brightness.

The phone is packed with 2650mAh which is decent enough to last for a day. That battery paired with 720p screen is enough for the phone to last for almost a day.

The camera in the Zenfone live is a 5MP front shooter with flash and the rear camera is a 13MP shooter with an aperture of f/2.0 and LED flash.

Final verdict :

The body is covered by plastic shell and the weight might seem less but it makes it feel cheap on hands. When you use the phone only for the purpose it is listed for i.e live feature, it does the job well there. It has 5MP front shooter with flash which is decent enough. And that paired with the preloaded with the app which can do beautification live is pretty good. But the processor used , the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 which is an old processor and the 2GB RAM struggles when multi-tasked.

This device can be considered as a secondary device for those who’d like to have a secondary device. If your main purpose is to go livestream and use the phone for someother general purpose, then this device will be totally fine.

Considering the price i.e. Rs.9999, there are many other good smartphones with better processors available in this price segment.
