Should i buy this?
My answer would be no. I mean who would spend $1,100 on a laptop. When it comes to portability and performance, this laptop would be the best. But when you spend the same amount on building a custom PC desktop, it will surely provide higher performance than this.
You might think like if i spend my money on buying a laptop, will it be future proof?
The answer is Yes if you play some specific games which doesn’t need much graphics. For example there are few people who prefer multiplayer games rather than role playing. The portability and gaming performance would be the best. Imaging you playing your favorite game anywhere and any time.
The answer is No when it comes to Upgrade(ability). Mostly the laptops wont hold much of an upgradation, it comes mostly with the pre-built / specified specs. Whereas when you get a PC desktop for the same price range, you can upgrade it n number of times.
How to buy a gaming laptop:
A budget gaming laptop is decided upon the graphics card because it can never be upgraded. If you prefer to buy even cheaper gaming laptop, there’d be something missing. Like SSD. When something you like is there, there will be something missing. The Ram and SSD upgrades may keep it in the long run, but not forever. So you either have to spend much more budget in it.
Looking at the graphics card, You can expect Nvidia GeForce GTX 860M or GTX 965M in a budget gaming laptop with a price range of $1,000 to $1,200 whereas you can expect 970M or 980M in an expensive gaming laptop.
